The first PJGT Ohio tournament of the 2009-2010 season was held at Walden Ponds Golf Club in Hamilton, Ohio.
Boys 8-9 Division Drew Doyle (only 7 years old!) won with solid scores of 94-88=182. Holden Scribner took second place. Congratulations!
Boys 10-11 Division Mitchell McFarland claimed first place with consistant scores of 82-85. Mitchell also won the Weekend Medalist Award for all 8-11 Division players.
Boys 12-13 Division Jake Leonard birdied the last hole to win in a very close competition. He shot 79 on Saturday, along with Luke Schumann and Tyler Pearson who took second and third spots, respectively.
Boys 14-15 Division Sam Geise led after Saturday by one shot over Joey Arcuri. The same scenario occurred on Sunday when Sam won the division by two shots. He was also the Weekend Medalist for all 12-19 Divisions. After a two-way tie at 161, there was a playoff for third. Robert Mahoney won the playoff for third place, Mason Eckley taking fourth. Great job guys!
Boys 15-19 Division David Wetterich won this division with scores of 78-77 over seven other players. Ryan McNutt was second with scores of 81-76 and Cameron Rutherford placed third with 81-82. Congratulations to all.
Girls 8-11 Division Abby Keifer won her first PJGT event with scores of 98-91.
Girls 12-14 Division When Alyssa Getty swept the Girls 8-11 Division last year, we knew she was going to do well when she moved back to 5800 yards this year. Not to disappoint, she won this event by six shots with scores of 81-83. Carolyn Markley took second with a 170 and Sarah Kolodzik was third with a 173. Great stamina girls!
Girls 15-19 Division Abby Teppe also won her first PJGT tournament this weekend. She shot 89-86 to win over Katie-Scarlett Skinner's 184.
