Twenty-two juniors set out Saturday to tackle some of the toughest greens in St. Louis at The Falls Golf Club in O'Fallon, Missouri. Rain-soaked fairways and tough pin placements added to the challenge this weekend.
Boys 8-9 Division Brennan Dolnick captured Saturday medalist honors shooting 93 in his first round. Dolnick finished strong with 86 Sunday and was the Weekend Medalist for all 8-11 Divisions. Congrats to competitor Carson Miles for chipping in on #18 Sunday!
Boys 12-13 Division Ryan Martin of Fenton, MO won his first PJGT tourney.
Boys 14-15 Division Mark Stahlhuth won a playoff for 1st place. Jake Marriot gave another solid effort to finish 2nd.
Boys 16-19 Division Mitch Rutledge fired an outstanding 72 for Saturday medalist honors. Jake Andrews was close behind with 74. Rutledge held off Andrews Sunday by shooting 74 and earned his FIRST PJGT win as well as Weekend Medalist for all 12-19 Divisions.
Girls 12-14 Division Congrats to Kelly Welker. She bettered her first round score by 15 shots on Sunday.
Girls 15-19 Division Two great players, newcomer Caroline Rouse of St. Louis and Rachel Welker of Terre Haute, IN battled all weekend. Rouse edged out Welker for her first PJGT win!
