Over 40 years ago Dr. and Mrs. C. H. Walters felt that their hometown of St. Charles, MO needed a club that offered quality, private, family golf which provided a friendly, social place to gather. With their hard work and dedication, Bogey Hills Golf and Country Club became what it is today. Situated on 120 acres of lush countryside in the heart of St. Charles City, it stands stately and proud, boasting a beautiful eighteen-hole golf course, strategically laid out on gently rolling, tree-lined terrain with undulating greens and is always maintained to a meticulous standard.
Twenty players set out Saturday to play Bogey Hills County Club. The field was diverse, with players from Missouri, Illinois, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio all competing for valuable points.
Bennett Wisner, Boys 12-13 Division shot 79 in first round to take a five-shot lead over John Edwards. On Sunday Bennett repeated with another 79 for 1st place honors. John Edwards’ two-day total of 164 proved good for a strong 2nd place.
In the Boys14-15 Division Carr Vernon of Poplar Bluff, MO shot 77 on Saturday for Saturday Medalist honors. Vernon never looked back, shooting 74 Sunday for the win, and Weekend Medalst honors in all 12-19 age divisions.
Nathan Nottrott in the Boys 16-19 Division made an outstanding eagle on Sunday, shooting 77 and captured his first PJGT win. Michael Odenwald and Stephen Freund both medaled for the first time on the PJGT!
Kelly Welker, Girls 12-14 Division and Rachel Welker, Girls 15-19 Division both took home first place awards. Congratulations to all! With spring just around the corner, we are all looking forward to some great tournaments. Hope to see you there!
