26 Players set out Saturday, April 24th to tackle the always challenging TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Home of the PGA Tour John Deere Classic, this is a world class golf course, and a breathtaking facility.
Thomas Calbi, Boys 10-11 Division got off to a red hot start, shooting a 74 Saturday for medalist honors. Jake Ecklund was looking to catch Calbi on Sunday, only 5 shots back. Ethan Uken played well, coming off win at Red Tail Run, and was right there with an 80 on Saturday. Calbi maintained wire-to-wire lead with a great round of 79 on Sunday to win this division, as well as Weekend Medalist Honors for all the 8-11 divisions.
In the Boys 12-13 Division Daniel Romero fired a 74 on Saturday. Landon Vaughan and Devan Schulert were close behind with rounds of 79 in their first round. PJGT newcomer Austin Carmack placed in the top three for second straight week.
